Justin Jankovitz

Justin has always had a passion for architecture and interior design. In college he briefly studied architecture but ultimately received his degree in psychology with a business minor. He still did get those architectural digest magazines though. As the years passed home decor slowly found its way back into his life with a job as a visual merchandizer for a furniture store in Las Vegas. After his stint in Las Vegas he made the move to Pittsburgh and along with Nicole opened up Heist, a lifestyle boutique that morphed into a vintage shop…that morphed in Twin Olives Home!

Nicole McGann

Nicole has spent most of her professional life in real estate and as a Pittsburgh native she has a deep love for all of the character this beautiful city has to offer. Most of the homes we work on were built in the 1900s with many close to 100 years old. Instead of erasing the history of a space Nicole like to leave elements intact and/or incorporate them into her designs.

The Twin Olives Story

When we met in 2014 Justin was working in Las Vegas, NV as a visual merchandizer for a furniture retailer and Nicole in real estate in Pittsburgh, PA. After a few months of flying cross-country for long weekends in various cities Justin took the leap and moved to Pittsburgh.

Flash-forward a year-ish later and after many trips to flea-markets/estate sales we decided to try our hand at selling. With that goal in mind our little collection of vintage and antique items started to grow. We focused mainly on mid century pieces but ultimately bought stuff we thought was cool because worst case scenario we’d get to keep it. We opened Heist, our vintage home interiors store in 2017. Quickly thereafter we found out we were expecting our first child, Oliver born January 2018. Oliver quickly came accustom to life in a vintage store. Along came a larger store in 2019 and expansion into furniture restoration. In 2020 we decided to close our storefront due to Covid. During our “temporary” closure Justin decided to become a licensed contractor in Pennsylvania. In May of 2021 we welcomed two more to the team, our twins Evelyn & Sofia.

For the last few years Justin has continued to grow his skills and with our combined knowledge and experience we bring to you Twin Olives, an all inclusive home service.
